Mount Kilimanjaro trekking - Marangu route
Trekking to the top of Africa via the Marangu Route in 6 Days
The Marangu Route, also referred to as the “Coca-Cola Route,” stands as the oldest and most established trekking path on Mount Kilimanjaro. Its enduring popularity stems from being the sole route on the mountain that offers hut accommodation for trekkers. This route presents an authentic Kilimanjaro climbing experience, showcasing breathtaking vistas and an exhilarating hiking adventure leading to the summit of Uhuru Peak. Moreover, the Marangu Route possesses distinctive elements that distinguish it from other routes, granting it a unique character and ambiance of its own. One intriguing aspect of the Marangu Route is that it is the only pathway up Mount Kilimanjaro that prohibits camping. Instead of sleeping in tents, trekkers are provided with permanent huts for their accommodation.
